Mr. John Comisac, age 83, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Saturday, February 26, 2011, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.
John, was Russian Orthodox by faith. He was a Butcher by trade, and had worked road construction, in the paving industry.
Born in Walker Twp., he was the son of the late John and Theresa (Mercincavage) Comisac.
He is survived by his
Four Daughters,
Rosalie D. (Comisac) Taylor of Tamaqua,
Cynthia E. Comisac and her companion Michael Rother of Tamaqua,
Gloria J. Comisac, and
Karen R. (Comisac) Payton wife of Thomas both of Houston, Texas;
Two Sons,
John S. "Bud" Comisac and his wife Susie of Tamaqua,
David G. Comisac and his companion Brenda Ritter of Brockton;
One Sister,
Eleanor (Comisac) Racis of Coaldale;
Thirteen grandchildren
Three great-grandchildren;
Preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Frances (Zucuskie) Comisac on April 13, 2003; daughter Jacqueline Comisac in 1973; sister, Mrs. Jean Miller.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2011 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, March 3, 2011.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 3, 2011.
Interment will be at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery of Tamaqua.
