John F. Bubel

November 17, 1930 — February 9, 2011

John F. Bubel, 80 of Wayne Ave. Tamaqua, formerly of Brockton, passed on Wednesday February 9, 2011 in his home with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Brockton on November 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Michael, and Mary Bresnie Bubel.

John was a graduate of St. Jerome High School, class of 1948.

He was employed more than 30 years at Lucent Technologies of Reading. Prior to that he worked at Kostin Used Car Lot in Tamaqua.

John, was a member of SS.Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua, where he belonged to the Holy Name Society. He also belonged to the Tamaqua Elks, and was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Father Henry Baker Knights of Columbus Tamaqua.

John is survived by his wife, Florence C. (Williams) Bubel, having celebrated their 15 wedding anniversary in November;

Sisters, Mary (Bubel) Morgans of Brockton, Theresa (Bubel) Pilo of Huntington Valley;

Children, Charles Yuskauskas, and his wife Deborah of Nesquehoning, Diane Macchiano wife of Dr. Anthony of Mt. Vernon, New York, Anita Yuskauskas and her husband Chris Fink of Lincoln University, Pa.;

Five grandchildren, Jarrod, Rebecca, Ben, R. Anthony, and Andrius;

Numerous nieces, and nephews;

Preceded in death by his first wife in 1995, Betty (Bowman) Bubel; brothers, Joseph, and Michael Bubel; sisters Mrs. Helen Protivnak, Elizabeth "Lee" Kostin, on Oct. 2, 2010, Veronica A. Bubel, O.S.F., on Nov. 17, 2009.

Friends may call Saturday February 12, 2011 from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine St. Tamaqua, Pa. 18252

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 o'clock A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., Rev. William Linkchorst officiating.

Interment Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
