Jo-Anne E. Gasper, age 44, of Weatherly, died at home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, after courageously fighting a three year battle with cancer.
Jo-Anne, was cared for by her fiancee and companion of 27 years, Ronald A. Bird.
A 1988 Weatherly High School graduate, Jo-Anne enjoyed nature,cooking and reading.
Jo-Anne worked for various manufacturing companies in Hazleton as a clerk.
She affectionately referred to her dogs, Radar, and Rocket as her "Boys".
Jo-Anne enjoyed motorcycling, and was a social member of the Flying Aces of Weatherly.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Marzik) Gasper.

Carol (Gasper) Smith of West Virginia and her two children, Christine Cochran, and Fred Fuquay;
Brother,
Thomas Gasper and his wife Chris of Hazleton;
Extended family, Charles Bird, Sr.; Rose Ann (Bird) Deeb who was also her care giver; Charles Bird, Jr. and companion Amy Blew; Kassie, Jacklyn, Jacob Blew, and Bernadette Gabos.
Preceded in death by a, brother, Michael Gasper; niece, Shayla Bird.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street Weatherly, Pa. 18255, Philip J. Jeffries F.D.
Friends shall be received Friday evening April 26, 2013 from the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home from 6 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment will be at St. Nicholas R.C.C. Cemetery of Weatherly Saturday April 27, 2013 at 10 o'clock A.M., Rev. Floyd Ceasar to officiate.
