Joan Dolores Snyder, wife, mother, and grandmother, 86 years of age of East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at home while in the loving care of her family.
Survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Harry Karl Snyder; daughters, Suzanne T. Blanchard of Gatesville, TX., and Kim S. Kropp of Tamaqua; grand children, Christina, Carl, and David.
A member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Joan retired from the Borough of Tamaqua having worked twenty-five years as a secretary. Prior to working at the borough, Joan worked for the former Eames Bakery.
A talented writer, Joan enjoyed doing adult coloring books, and navigating the computer.
Born Tuesday, July 8, 1930 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Daniel, and Essie M. (Templin) Schlosser. She was also predeceased by her sister, Thelma Schlosser; brothers, Charlie, Daniel, and John Schlosser.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. (570) 668-2550
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at 10 o'clock A.M. from the Funeral Home, Vicar Cindy White to officiate. Friends may call on the morning of from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
