Joan Mulhern Goldstein, at 81 years of age from Philadelphia PA, passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2021 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Joan, daughter of her loving parents, the late Charles and Gertrude (Garvin) Mulhern, was born on July 22nd, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her two daughters; Debra Joan Taylor (married to Robert J Taylor of Jim Thorpe, PA); and Danielle Harak (married to Brian Harak of Philadelphia). She is survived by her two siblings that live in Philadelphia; Charlie Mulhern and his wife Sophie Mulhern; and Gertrude Montgomery. Joan is also survived by her four grandchildren; Alicia Taylor, Melissa Baker and her husband Zachary Baker, Kelly Taylor, and Brian Harak Jr, along with her great grandchildren; Jayda Rose, Emily, Grace, and Eva Joan. Joan is survived by her five nieces and nephews; Merrie, Jimmy, Lori-Anne, Darlene, and Charlie, along with many great nieces and nephews.
One of Joan’s biggest passions in life was caring and providing for her family, friends and people in need. Joan had a heart of gold and had a selfless nature as she felt a sense of accomplishment making others happy which is why she was so beloved in her community and admired by her loved ones.
Joan was a graduate of the Nativity Business School in Philadelphia. She had later moved on to obtain her real estate license that led her to becoming an accomplished Real Estate Broker. Over the course of her 25-year career in the field, she had earned many awards and was recognized, admired and respected by her colleagues. Joan had always taken pride in her work.
She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, loved reading novels, cherished trips every June to the beach in Stone Harbor with her daughters and grandchildren, and found peace and joy through her passions of faith and family that carried her through until she was called home into the loving arms of our Savior.

A celebration of life to honor Joan will be held on May 3rd, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Tyler State Park (101 Swamp Road, Newton PA 18940). The mass followed by the luncheon will be held in the Upper Plantation Pavilion.
