Jerome "Jerry" W. Zubey

Jerome "Jerry" W Zubey, age 59, of Valley Rd., passed away unexpectedly Monday at his home in Lewistown Valley.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of Leonard J. Zubey of Lewistown Valley and June L. (Breiner) Zubey of Schuylkill Haven.
Jerry was a Dairy Nutritionist and owner of Zubey Dairy Consulting. He also served as the Tamaqua Middle School Track coach.
He was a 1971 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School where he was an accomplished athlete. He was a graduate of Penn State University School of Agricultural Science where he earned a B.S. in Animal Science.
Jerry was a member of East End Fire Co. and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is also survived by his
Two Sons,
George E Zubey of Tamaqua and
Lt. Alex M Zubey of Colorado Springs, CO;
Brothers,
Leonard M. and his wife Andrea of Middleton, PA and Thomas J. and his wife Patricia of New Tripoli;
Nieces,
Lauren and Jesse;
Nephews,
Nicholas, Matt, Mike, and Tim.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 6-9 PM.
Private Funeral Service at the convenience of the family.
Private Interment.
