Jeanne W. Hittinger

Jeanne W. (Faust) Hittinger, mother and grandmother, age 82, of Weatherly, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Weatherwood Nursing Home in Weatherly.

Widow of Eugene L. Hittinger, who died in 2012, and Clyde H. Kunkel who died in 1956.

Jeanne had been employed by Hazleton National Bank then Summit Bank as Head of the Proof Dept.

An active member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly, Jeanne served as Treasurer, was a member of Consistroy, belonged to the Women's Fellowship, and sang in the choir.

A 1949 Weatherly High School graduate, Jeanne served as Auditor for Lehigh Twp., and was a member of the Weatherly Legion Auxillary.

Jeanne was an accomplished vocalist who sang for many weddings and funerals, She was a member of the Hazleton Philharmonic, and participated in the Weatherly Combined Choir.

Born in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Cora (Wisler) Faust.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Karen F. Andrews wife of Dan,
Kim J. Reigle wife of Michael, both of Weatherly;

Son,
Robert E. Hittinger of Freeland;

Several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews also survive her.

Preceded in death by her step son, Craig Hittinger; grandson, Derrick Hittinger; great grandson, Anthony Lescowitch; brother, John E. Faust.

Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11 o'clock AM at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Reverend Donald Stump to officiate.

Interment at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
