Jeanne G. Cronk, age 84, of Weatherly died Monday, January 4, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Weatherly.
In 1943, after graduating from Weatherly High School, Jeanne went to work at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. She later worked for Bell Telephone, Tung-Sol and retired in 1991 as a Nurses' Aide from Weatherwood Carbon County Nursing Home.
Born in Easton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Foster Hartz and Ruth (Younker) Hartz-Gimbi.
She is survived by her
daughters, Patricia R. Gerhard and her husband Grover of Weatherly and Gwendolyn J. Hendricks and her husband Paul E. with whom she resided
brother, Robert Gimbi and his wife Dolores of Breinigsville
five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her step-father, Peter Gimbi; brother, Samuel Hartz; and sisters, Mavis Hartz Miller and Mildred Hartz Warner.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries, F.D./Supervisor where the family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 10-11 A.M.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, Reverend Amy Boock officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly.
