Jeanine Gernavage, 55 years of age of East Union Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away after a brief illness on Monday, October 19, 2015, at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem.
A 1978 Tamaqua High School graduate, Jeanine had worked at Boyer's in Tamaqua, and for the Tamaqua Area School District.
A member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Parish of St. John XXIII, Tamaqua, she had been active in the East End Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Jeanine was an excellent cook and was passionate about her cooking skills.
Born Sunday, August 14, 1960 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Marie C. (Fucci) Gernavage of Tamaqua, and the late Edmund V. Gernavage who passed away on December 28, 2007. Jeanine was also preceded in death by her sister, Ann Marie Gernavage in 1975.

Daughter, Marissa (Stoudt) Blackwell wife of Donald of Williamstown;
Brother, Edmund T. Gernavage and his wife Carol of Langhorne;
Companion, Bruce A. Gottstein of Tamaqua;
Niece, Sheila Weisenborn wife of Henry;
Nephew, Eric Gernavage;
Great niece & nephew, Logan & Sienna Weisenborn;
Best friend, Debbie Skripnek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock A.M. on Friday October 23, 2015 at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Parish of St. John XXIII located at 301 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Friends may call Friday morning October 23, 2015 at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.
Interment will be in St. Jerome R.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
