Mrs. Jean V. (Krapf) Yanik, age 82, of Orwigsburg, formerly of Coaldale, died Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Seton Manor in, Orwigsburg.
Presbyterian by faith, Jean was a 1946 Coaldale High School graduate. A member of the Coaldale Legion Aux. Post #170, having served as secretary, and a long tenured past president of the Tamaqua Senior Citizens. Jean was also a member of the Panther Valley Golden Agers.
Jean retired from the former Atlas Powder Co. of Reynolds, having worked over 30 years in 1991.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late James and the Mable (Steffy) Krapf.
She is survived by her
One Son,
John T. Yanik and his wife Linda of Oviedo, Fla.;
One Brother,
James Krapf and his wife June of Sayre, Pa.;
Two grandchildren, Karen, and Ann;
Two great-grandchildren, Samari, and Carlos.;
Preceded in death by her husband, John Yanik in 1998, step mother Ruth Murphy, and sister, Mrs. Betty James.

Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home at 11 o'clock A.M..
