Jean L. Strack

Jean L. (Berk) Strack, age 83, of Summer Valley Road New Ringgold, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at HCR Manor Care of Allentown.

Jean, attended East Brunswick schools until the 8 th grade, and then earned her G.E.D. in 1971.

A homemaker, she returned to work having raised her children, working in the textile industry, for the former Atlas Powder Company, and finally as a Baker for the former Leiby's Restaurant of Tamaqua.

Jean, was an active member of Christ Church of McKeansburg, having participated in the Choir, and Women's Guild.

Born in East Brunswick Twp., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Hattie (Gerber) Berk.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Harry W. Strack, Jr.;

Two Sons,
Richard H. Strack, and his wife Peggy of Stroudsburg,
Harry W. Strack, III, and his wife Alison of Camp Hill;

Two Sisters,
Eleanor (Berk) Arner of Lehighton,
Mildred (Berk) Fegley of Hamburg;

One Brother,
Dr., Floyd K. Berk and his wife Romayne of Tuscon, Ariz.;

Three grandchildren, Geoffrey, Jonathan, and Eric;

Preceded in death by brothers, Carl H., Harold N., Herbert, and Richard Berk; sisters, Miss. Fern Berk, Mrs. Elsie W. Hafer, Miss Luella Berk, and Mrs. Mary Smith.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa.,

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Christ Church of McKeansburg, Six Race Street, New Ringgold, Pa. 17960.

Funeral Service will be at Christ Church of McKeansburg at 2 o'clock PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011, Rev. Sunny Stock officiating.

Interment Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery.
