Jean L. Steigerwalt

Jean L. (Wehr) Steigerwalt, age 70, of East Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at home in the care of her family.

Survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald R. Steigerwalt.

A 1960 Northwestern High School graduate, Jean worked in the textile industry, for Subway of Lehighton, and at Rex's Market of Ashfield for many years.

Jean, was an active member of Dinkey Memorial Church, having taught Sunday School. She had served on the advisory committee of Boy Scout Troop #106 of New Mahoning.

Born in East Penn Twp., she was the daughter of the late Mark Wehr and the late Ida (Green) Wehr-Steigerwalt.

She is also survived by her;

Two Daughters,
Kimberly J., wife of John Szacska, Lori A., wife of Gregory German;

Two sons,
Rodney L. Steigerwalt,
Donald R. Steigerwalt II and his companion Stephanie Frankenfield, all of Lehighton;

One Sister,
Eleanore J. (Wehr) Berger wife of Warren of Lehighton;

One Brother,
Keith E. Steigerwalt and his wife Chun Cha of Clovis, NM;

Five grandchildren, Jamie and her fiance Sjaun, Aaron, Chelsea, Corey, and Gavyn;

And many nieces, nephews and cousins;

Preceded in death by her step-father, Karl E. Steigerwalt.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309, Snyders Village, New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends Thursday evening June 28, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Funeral service will be at Dinkey Memorial Church, 1472 Dinkey Road, Ashfield, Pa. 18212 at 11 o'clock AM Friday, June 29, 2012, Pastor Anthony P. Pagotto to officiate.

A one hour calling will preceed the service Friday morning in church.

Interment in the church cemetery, Ashfield.
