Jean Korshalla

Jean (Hayes) Korshalla of Weatherly passed away at home early Sunday morning, December 6, 2020.
Born March 1, 1942 to Myrtle (Hoegg) Hayes and Eugene Hayes, she was educated in Weatherly schools and graduated in 1960 as class valedictorian. She received a degree in biology from College Misericordia (now Misericordia University) graduating cum laude in 1964. She worked as a research biologist for Lederle Laboratories (now Pfizer) in Pearl River, New York until 1979 when her daughter was born.
She and her husband retired to Weatherly in 2001 where she once again became active as an organist and pianist for several local churches and choirs.
Jean is survived by her husband of almost 47 years, Joseph Korshalla, and her daughter attorney Lauren Korshalla, Houston, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Hayes (Fred Ney), Shavertown, and sister in-law Anna King (Bernard), Dallas, PA.
