Jason Michael Bankes, age 36, of West Spruce Street Tamaqua, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.
Born with Cerebral Palsy, Jason was cared for by his mother, and family who loved him very much.
He enjoyed Disney moives and the love and interaction of his family. He attended Avenues in Pottsville.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of Janet (Collins) Bankes with whom he resided, and Donald W. Kunkel and his wife Diana of Tamaqua.
He is also survived by his
One Sister,
Wendy Kunkel and her companion Art Cercini of Mertztown, Pa.;
Four Brothers,
Donald Kunkel and his wife Tina,
Thomas Kunkel and his companion Cristy, both of Cristiana, Pa.,
Michael Kunkel and his companion Lynn of New Ringgold, Brian Kunkel and his wife Cassie of Nesquehoning;
His aunt, and cousins all assisted in his care and well being.
Many nieces, and nephews survive him.
Preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Kunkel
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2011.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2011.
Private interment.
