Mrs. Janice (McLaughlin) Snyder, age 77, of Tamaqua, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at St Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Charles Snyder.
Janice was a stay at home mom while her children were growing up and later had worked as a bus aide for disabled children in Mercer County, NJ.
She was a 1952 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School who enjoyed crocheting, gardening and baking.
Janice was a long standing member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows- the Rebekahs.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late John McLaughlin and the late Miriam (Roberts) McLaughlin.
She is also survived by her
Three Daughters,
Nancy E (Snyder) Ervin and Miriam B. Snyder both of Tamaqua and Chris L. Snyder of Hamilton, NJ;
Two Sisters,
Illomay Nelson of Tamaqua and Miriam Fegley and her husband Donald of New Ringgold;
Six grandchildren
One great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her brother, Donald L. McLaughlin on 9-12-2012.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pa.
Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1 o'clock PM at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home.
Interment at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
