Janet Louise Hirsch, 76 of Newton Falls and Alliance passed away on December 15, 2022 at her Newton Falls home. Born in Warren on May 19, 1946, Janet is the daughter of the late William Haber and Louise Elizabeth (Hadesty) Hirsch.
Janet is a 1964 graduate of Newton Falls High School. Following her graduation from high school, she attended Mount Union College, obtaining her bachelor's degree in English education in 1968. While there, she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Janet taught for 30 years with one year at Salem Jr. High School in 1968-69. She then took a teaching job with the Louisville High School in Louisville, Ohio where she taught from 1969 until her retirement in 1998.
Janet was a member of the former First Congregational Church of Newton Falls, Mount Union College Women's Club and the Delta Delta Delta Alumnae. in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading.
She is survived by her cousins; Wayne Klingaman and his wife Terri, Janeen Konnyn and her husband Rob, Libby Klingaman, Cathy Klingaman.

A Celebration of Janet's Life will be held on Friday evening April 21, 2023 at 7:30 P.M. from the funeral home. Friends may call from 6:45 P.M. until the time of services.
