Jane E. Steigerwalt , 89 years of age of East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp..
Widow of Oilver G. Steigerwalt.
A member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Jane was a homemaker while raising her daughter, and then worked for the Tamaqua Area School District in the cafeteria.
Born Sunday, April 4, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Alberta I. (Gould) Brode. Jane was raised by her grandparents.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Gail L. Jones wife of Robert of Hamburg, Pennsylvania; many friends also survived her.
Preceded in death by her brother, Roy I. "Buddy" Brode, Jr. October 23, 2009.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 21, 2015 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home, Rev. Virginia A. Goodwin to officiate.
Friends shall be received on Thursday evening August 20, 2015 at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and on the morning of services from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
