Jane M. Montz

Mrs. Jane M. (Burkey) Montz, age 81, of Levittown, Pa., died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Chandler Hall in Newtown, Pa.

A Weatherly High School graduate, Jane retired from Vend-Rite Service Corporation of Bensalem, Pa.

Jane, was an active member of Haines Road Baptist Church of Levittown, having palyed organ, and piano. Her love for music was fostered in high school having participated in the Weatherly Glee Club.

A devoted wife and mother Jane cared for her disabled husband, the late Harold E. Montz, yet found time to be a Scout Mother of Boy Scout Pack #121 of Levittown. Jane loved to read.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Anson and the late Marie (Voulgson) Burkey-Beers.

She is survived by her

One Daughter,
Carol (Montz) Ryan of Levittown, Pa.;

One Son,
Harold A. Montz and his wife Linda Beard of Penndel, Pa.;

Two grandchildren, Justin Montz, and David Ryan;
Two great-grandchildren, Dave and Wanda Ryan;

Preceded in death by her step father, John Beers.

Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Sup.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Haines Road Baptist Church 2601 Haines Road Levittown, Pa. 19055.

Funeral service will be at Haines Road Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2011, Pastor Michael A. Murray to officiate.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly, Pa.
