Mrs. Jane E. (Gerhard) Gerhard, age 88, of Wetzel Run Dr., Weatherly died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at her residence.
She was previously employed at Tung-Sol where she worked as an assembler.
Jane was a member of St. Matthew's Union Church and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weatherly, Pa. where she was a member of the Busy Bees.
She was a 1938 Weatherly High School graduate, gardener, hunter and an avid reader.
Born in Hudsondale, Packer Twp., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Smith) Gerhard.
She is survived by her
son, Carl Gerhard and his wife Cynthia of Ringtown, Pa.
daughters, Ellen (Gerhard) Blaine and her husband Barry of Long Valley, NJ; and Joan (Gerhard) Hinkle and her husband Morris of Weatherly
brothers, Philip Gerhard of Nebraska and Roland Gerhard of Weatherly
sister, Helen Doleiden of Middlesex, NJ.
eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by her husband in 1996, Samuel C. Gerhard; brothers, Elwood, Paul "Sleeper", Howell, Myles, Robert Q. and David; sister, Lucille Heimbach.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home 211 First St., Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./ Supervisor.
Memorial Service will be at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 3rd & Fell Sts., Weatherly, Pa. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Reverend Walter Breiner officiating.
