James Wilson Searfoss

James Wilson Searfoss , age 87, of Quakake Road Weatherly, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Weatherly

A handyman, James served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the U.C.C. congregation of St. Matthews Church of Weatherly, and the McAdoo American Legion. James enjoyed camping and clamming on the Chesapeake Bay. James also liked to garden and listen to Polka's.

Born in Rush Twp., he was the son of the late Arthur H., and Luella (Woodring) Searfoss.

Survived by;

Sisters:
Joan A. (Searfoss) Chernansky of Weatherly,
Dolores E. (Searfoss) Artim wife of Alvin of Weatherly;

Brothers:
Arthur H. Searfoss, Jr. and his wife Ethel of, Trappe, PA,
Clyde E. Searfoss and his wife Vickie, Weatherly;

Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

Preceded in death by sister, Miss Ethel Searfoss; brother, Clark E. Searfoss.

Arrangements are entrusted to Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA.

Funeral service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014.

A gathering of friends will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Weatherly, PA.
