James F. Murphy, 93 years of age, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born Sunday, October 23, 1927 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late Thomas F., and Genevieve (McLaughlin) Murphy. James was also predeceased by; brother, Joseph T. Murphy on June 29, 2011
Surviving are son, Leslie Murphy and his wife; daughter, Bernadette A. Murphy.
A graduate of St. Jerome High School, James retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, and active in the Henry Baker Knights of Columbus.
