James Martin Knoblauch, 71 Winter Park, FL, passed into the arms of our Lord on December 30, 2021 after battling a long illness. He is survived by; his loving wife, his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth (Lazarchick) Knoblauch of 51 years; brother, Terrence Knoblauch and his wife Lisa (BaddicK) of Tamaqua; son, James Samuel Knoblauch and his wife Janet (Kunkel) of Nescpoeck, Pa; daughters, Michelle Lee Valentin wife of John of Orlando Fl., Christine Hall wife of Chris of North Hollywood Ca; grandchildren, James Martin Knoblauch II, Cassandra Albertson, Nicole, Victoria, Samantha, Andrew Valentin, CJ, and Charlotte Hall. Many nieces and nephews also survive James.
He was predeceased by; parents, James, and Marjorie (Klingaman) Knoblauch; brothers, Donald Knoblauch, and Larry Klingaman.
James and Elizabeth formerly resided in Alburtis, center Valley, Allentown, and Tamaqua Pa. James was a retired Sales Rep for MetLife Insurance Co, having worked in Allentown for 15 years. He earned many awards and qualified for Leader Conferences often.
During his fulfilling life, he had previously worked for Mack Trucks, Macungie, Pa Cementation Construction/Zinc Co. of Center Valley, and Alpo Dog Food of Allentown.
James was an avid sportsman. He was president of the Winter Park 9 men's golf association, winning several tournaments, and loved fishing, and hunting for pheasants, turkey, and deer. James was an excellent marksman. He was an All State Basketball Athlete in 1968 for Tamaqua High School. James was a Knee High Football coach for 30 yrs, both in Tamaqua, and Southern Lehigh Youth Football Association Center Valley winning many championships in his coaching career. James enjoyed playing cards and dominoes as a pastime. He won the Florida Amateur Poker Tournament and was sent to California to play in the tournament with professional poker players and Hollywood Star Celebrities.
James also loved music and dancing. He entered the U,S. Navy Reserves in Hazleton shortly after graduating. James was a member of Trinity U.C.C. of Tamaqua, and STS Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Winter Park Fl. James was a very personable and social man loved by all who knew him. His grandchildren's voices and activities were his true delight.
James will truly be missed by the many lives he touched.
Private interment was held in St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
