James D. Brennan

April 3, 1934 — April 28, 2015

James D. Brennan, 81 years of age, of Mulberry Street Tuscarora, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Schuylkill Medical Center East in Pottsville. Born in Tuscarora, Jim was the son of the late James F., and Loretta (Kenny) Brennan.

Married to his wife of fifty-seven years, Jane (Murphy) Brennan.
In addition to his wife he is survived by;
Son, Patrick T. Brennan and his wife Deeann of Jamestown, NC;
Daughter: Karen (Brennan) Rohbach wife of George of Schuylkill Haven;
Six Grandchildren, Sean, Nancy Jo, James, Jane, Felicia, and Robert; Four Great-Grandchildren Mason, Dylan, Amelia, and Amira; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Two Sisters: Mary (Brennan) Schock wife of Jack of Tuscarora, Kathleen (Brennan) Nicholson wife of Dr., James J. of Blue Bell; He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Brennan.

Jim was a faithful member of St. John XX III R.C.C. of Tamaqua and a graduate of St. Jerome High School ’52. He served honorably in the United States Army, and worked for Prudential (Insurance) Financial for many years.

Jim, was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and golf. He belonged to the Tuscarora Fire Company, Ancient Order of Hibernians Pottsville Chapter, and Tamaqua Elks. Always a football fan, Jim often commented that High School football was his favorite; however, anyone who knew him also knew he was an ardent Notre Dame fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jim on Saturday May 2, 2015 at 12 o'clock noon from St. John XXIII R.C.C., 266 West Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. The celebrant will be his nephew Msgr. Thomas Baddick. Friends may call in church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of Mass. Interment with Military Honors will follow immediately at St. Bertha's R.C.C. Cemetery, Tuscarora, Pennsylvania.
