James "Jimmy" P. Boner, 67, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital Bethlehem on Saturday December 7, 2024 due to complications from a stroke in August of this year. His family was by his side.
Born in Coaldale October 23, 1957, he was the fourth child of William J. and Joan W. (Love) Boner who preceded him in death; along with two brothers Kevin in 1959 and William K. in 2015, with whom he shared their birthdate.
He was a 1975 graduate of Panther Valley High School and last worked at Nestle in Hamburg.
He is survived by a son Jared Boner of Shenandoah, a daughter Samantha Boner and her fiancé Stephen Thomas of Kulpmont, two brothers Keith P. Boner and wife Lisa of Tamaqua, Brian T. Boner and wife Maria of Nesquehoning, a sister Audrey Milot wife of the late Thomas of Brockton and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy's passion was riding his motorcycle and side by side with his son Jared and brother Keith and friends. He loved to spend his weekends with his family at his camper reminiscing around the campfire and the companionship of Jared's dog Derks. He was a member of the West End Rod and Gun Club, and the American Legion of Coaldale..
His cheerful, infectious smile and "What's up?" greeting is going to be gravely missed by all who loved and knew him.
