Mrs. Jacqueline A. (Grassa) Agosti, age 47, of Boyle Ave. Tamaqua, died January 16, 2011, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp..
Jackie, was a 1981 graduate of Nativity High School, Pottsville, and attended LaSalle University in Philadelphia, while at LaSalle, she studied abroad in Poland attending Jagiellonian University.
She graduated from the New England Institute of Applied Arts & Science in Boston, Mass with a degree in mortuary science.
Jackie, was currently enrolled in the Medical Assistant program of McCanns in Pottsville.
Jackie, was a talented chef, having managed and cooked in many area restaurants. Her crab cake recipe can be found on the WNEP website. To further her love of nature and gardening, she operated a landscaping business. Most recently, while attending school, she was a home health-aide.
Raised in St. Clair, Jackie summered at Lake Hauto, where she returned yearly to enjoy friends and the beach. She organized the annual summer Crab Fest.
Jackie, was proud of and celebrated her Polish Heritage.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late John and Annette (Gretsky) Grassa.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joseph E. Agosti;

Dominick J. Agosti all of Tamaqua;
One Sister,
Greta (Grassa) wife of Pete Thode of Boise, Idaho;
Two Brothers,
Jude Grassa,
Gereon Grassa, both of St. Clair;
She is also survived by, her in-laws, Ermando, and Diane Agosti; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; many nieces; nephews; cousins. And her "Nanny & Pappers", Frances Watto, and James Marouchoc.
At the early death of her mother, Jackie's aunt, Betty Dallago of Newark, DE., helped her father raise she and her siblings.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 20, 2011, at the Christ Funeral Home 31 Mahanoy Ave. Tamaqua, Pa. 18252.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jerome R.C.C. 266 West Broad St. Tamaqua, Pa. 18252. at 10:00 AM Friday, January 21, 2011.
Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Branch Twp., Minersville.
Memorials in her memory, may be made to the Agosti family 499 Boyle Ave., Tamaqua, Pa. 18252 for the educational needs of her daughter.
