Isabelle G. Brode

Isabelle G. (Hankey) Brode, age 90, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hopital Salisbury Twp..

Widow of Steve Wargo, who died in 1954, and Charles E. Brode, who died in 1995.

A 1940 Tamaqua High School graduate, and member of the Drum & Bugle Corp, Isabelle worked for the former Purling Mills of Tamaqua for 42 years.

Isabelle was a member of St. John U.C.C.. of Tamaqua.

Isabelle was an enthusiastic bingo player, she loved Tuesday night bingo.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Rex) Hankey.

She is survived by her;

Two Daughters,
Sandra (Wargo) Davis wife of Lenny,
Donna (Wargo) Hill wife of Woody both of Tamaqua;

Son,
Stephen Wargo and his wife Cathy of Coaldale;

Step sons,
Charles Brode of Mahanoy City,
Edward "Butch" Brode of New Ringgold,

Three Sisters,
Mary Rex of New Ringgold,
Shirley Reichelderfer of Tamaqua, Mae Krynock of Coaldale;

Eight grandchildren
Fourteen great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by her daughter, Madeline Wargo; son, Robert Brode; grandson, Ron Hill; brother, George Hankey; sisters, Mrs. Eva Lukacik; Mrs. Grace Robertshaw.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.

Funeral Services from the funeral home Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 11 o'clock A.M., Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate.

Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of services

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua.
