Irene Mostowa "Lady Tow", a former resident of Philadelphia and New Jersey , passed away Monday October 10. 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hazelton Campus. She was the wife of the late Jaroslaw Zaliwciw.
Irene was 74 years of age. Born in Munich, Germany. Daughter of Ilko Mostowyj and Maria Myhowycz. She was 1 of 9 siblings.
Irene was also predeceased by daughters Tieasa and Pamela Gordienko and Granddaughter Sonya Irene Gordienko.
Surviving daughters are Danielle Vega, wife of Jose, Vera Gordienko, Oksana Zaliwciw and Son Demetrius Zaliwciw and is survived by many grandchildren.
A lover of many things, more so cars and animals, Irene was part co-owner of many automotive businesses and loved towing cars and on the same premises she had a mini farm with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, ferrets, doves, a chipmunk and a flock of geese that acted as guard dogs.
She loved crocheting blankets for family in her spare time. Catholic by faith, Irene loved helping and volunteering in the kitchen at the Ukrainian Center and also became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Graveside services will be held on Friday October 21, 2022 at 9:30 A.M. from Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newton, Pennsylvania 18940. Military Honors for Jaroslaw will be bestowed.
