Miss Irene Machay, age 83, formerly of Coaldale, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr., Coaldale.
A member of St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Church of Lansford, she was a Coaldale High School graduate.
Irene, retired from the former Purling Mills of Tamaqua.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of Paul and Julia (Ruddie) Machay.
She is survived by nephews, and nieces.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew, Frank, Paul, & George Machay; sister, Mrs. Mary Laskos.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,
Panachida services Thursday December 23, 2010 at 2 o'clock P.M. from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Rev. Father Robert J. Teklinski officiating.
Interment in parish cemetery.
