Ida L. Steigerwalt

Mrs. Ida L. (Green) Steigerwalt, age 88, of Lizard Creek Road, West Bowmans, Lehighton, Pa., died Friday, January 15, 2010, at Palmerton Hospital Blue Mt. Health Ctr. in Palmerton, Pa.

A member of Dinkey Evangelical Memorial Church of Lehighton, Ida, retired as a presser from the textile industry after 20 years of service.

Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Adam and the late Lulu (McFarland) Green.

She is survived by her

Two Daughters,
Eleanor J. (Wehr) Berger wife of Warren,and
Jean L. (Wehr) Steigerwalt wife of Donald, both of Lehighton;

One Son,
Keith Steigerwalt and his wife Chun Cha of Clovis, NM;

Three Sisters,
Dorothy (Green) Zuber of Jim Thorpe,
Betty (Green) Jones of Lehighton, Edna (Green) Dunlap wife of Bernard of Lehighton;

One Brother,
Adam Green of Lehighton;

Brother-in-Law-Sterling Bittner of Lehighton;

Seven grandchildren
Six great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by her first husband, Mark Wehr; second husband, Karl E. Steigerwalt; brothers, Thomas, and Paul Green; sister, Mrs. Edith Bittner, and Violet Steigerwalt.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309 New Ringgold, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2010, and from 10 o'clock AM until time of services on Thursday January 21, 2010, in church.

Funeral service will be at Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church 1472 Dinkey Road Ashfield, Pa. 17901 11:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2010, Rev. Nancy Moore officiating.

Interment will be at Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, Lehighton.
