Hildegarde Kinder, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, formerly of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Lehighton at the age of 74 years while in the loving care of her family. Hilde was born Sunday, February 24, 1946 in Germany and moved to the US when she was in her twenties. Hilde met the love of her life, the late Richard J. Kinder, bartending at an Air Force Academy bar in Colorado Springs. Eventually they would buy a home in Nanticoke, PA where they raised their daughters, Kerri and Teasha. Hilde was a pre-school teacher until she retired in 2016. She was a constant cheerleader at her girls’ soccer games growing up, enjoyed cross stitching and spent countless hours reading murder mystery novels. The Kinder home was always a welcome place and was known as the hangout for Kerri and Teasha’s friends. Hilde would oftentimes hang out as well or would quietly play solitaire while the kids had fun. Hildegarde was predeceased by her husband Richard on January 29, 1989. Surviving are daughters, Kerri C. King and her husband David and Teasha A. Kinder, brother, Michael Pelt and his wife Deb; grandchildren, Emerson and Sawyer King.Funeral arrangements entrusted to the E.
