Hildegard Kunzmann

Hildegard Kunzmann, wife, mother, and grandmother, age 92, of New Ringgold, formerly of Queens, NY, and Tom's River, NJ, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville.

Survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Emil Kunzmann;

Daughter,
Evelyn Weller and her husband Christopher, New Ringgold;

Three grandchildren, Karl, Kevin, and Karen;
One great-grandchild, Luke.

Born in Pforzheim, Germany the daughter of the late Gustav, and Louise (Mayer) Steudle.

Hildegard worked as a Red Cross volunteer during WWII. After moving to America, she assisted her husband in his watch repair business. She enjoyed gardening; however, her favorite past time was hiking with Emil. They hiked well into their 70's last hiking the Alps in South Tyrol (Northern Italy).

Hildegard was a member of the Zion Stone Church of West Penn Twp.

Preceded in death by sister, Gerlinde Morra,; brothers, Willie, Fritz, Reinhard Steudle.

Private Arrangements are being entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA.

Cremation as a means of disposition will take place at the E. Franklin Griffiths Cremation Service of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
