Henry M. Tracy

Mr. Henry M. Tracy, age 86, of Whitehall, formerly of New Ringgold, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, Pa.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and previously was employed by Interstate Dress Carriers of Lehighton.
Henry was a member of St. Jerome R.C. Church, Tamaqua and the V.F.W. Eagles Pt. Post 7293, Egypt, Pa, and USS New Jersey Veterans of Norfolk, Va.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Claire and Helen (Leonard) Tracy.
He is survived by his
Daughters, Cathy Bachert wife of John of Coplay; Anne Knadler with whom he resided; and Joan Jones wife of Perry of Schuylkill Haven, Pa.;
Son, Michael J. Tracy and his wife Kathy of Tamaqua;
sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife in 2005, Ellen L. (Reed) Tracy; son, Donald Reed; brother, Claire Tracy; sister, Helen Waters; son-in-law, Robert "Skitch" Knadler; and grandsons, Jashen Schaeffer and William H. Reed; great grandson Gage Bryce.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309, Snyders Village, New Ringgold, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. and on Monday, October 5, 2009 from 9:30-10:15 A.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome R.C. Church 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend James C. Bechtel officiating, and Rev. Joseph Water, Henry's nephew.
Interment with Military Honors, will be in St. Jerome's R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua.
