Helene A. Smith-Marx, beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother, 70 years of age of East Union Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. Luke's - Allentown Campus.
Born Friday, July 27, 1951 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Herman F., and Inez M. (Rollis) Lutz. Helene was also predeceased by son, Nicholas M. Smith; brother, Edward Lutz.
Surviving are; husband, Andrew J. Marx; daughter, Danielle Smith and her companion John Hauck of Tamaqua; sister, Nancy Willing and her husband, John A. Jr. of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Courtney DeAngelo and her companion Michael Ellington, Robert H. Smith, Laura C. Smith; great grandchildren, Alexis, Makenna, Jacob, Emily. Nieces and nephews also survive Helene.
A 1969 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Helene worked for Prudential Insurance Company as a Financial Representative for over 30 years. She was a member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua. Helene enjoyed crocheting, shopping, playing bingo visiting the beach, and loved caring for her animals. Helene, cherished the role of grandmother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at 11 o'clock AM from St. John XXIII R.C.C. located at 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Friends may call on the morning of services at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.
Interment will be in St. Jerome R.C.C. Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
