Helen M. Williams, 104 years of age, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Blue Mountain Health Systems in Lehighton.
Widow of Horace Williams, she is survived by; daughters, Jean Fisher wife of George of Whiting, NJ, and Lydia M. Rowan of Tamaqua; son, Russell Williams and his wife Eleanore of Union NJ; sister, Marilyn Drake of MD.; brother, Robert Clouser and his wife Julie of TN.; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren. Born Wednesday, April 2, 1913 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late David, and Bertha (Kahler) Clouser. She was also predeceased by; brothers, Harmon, James, Leonard, and Earl Clouser; sisters, Mabel Barthal, Maude Langone; grandson,Timothy Rowan.
A member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Helen had worked in the Textile Industry and for the former Saylor's Bakery of Hometown. Helen and her late husband Horace had moved to Union New Jersey before settling in Whiting where they lived for many years. While residing in Whiting, Helen became active in many activites and clubs, joing them in their travels and social activities .A talented baker, Helen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing bingo.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 o'clock AM on Monday November 6, 2017 from the funeral home, Rev. Phyllis Wolford to officiate. Friends may call on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in Sky View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
