Helen G. (Wallesa) Wetterau, mother and grandmother, age 92, of Tamaqua, died Monday, December 24, 2012, at Blue Mountain Health Systems in Lehighton.

Widow of Paul Wetterau, who died on May 14, 2002

A member of Trinity U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Helen had worked as a cashier at the former Leiby's Restaurant, and worked the polls during elections.

Helen was active in Tamaqua Seniors, and had served as president of the former Tamaqua Women's Club.

Born in Lansford, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Bigley) Wallesa.

She is survived by her

Three Daughters,
Joan (Wetterau) Leiby wife of Raynor of Tamaqua,
Janice (Wetterau) Zlock wife of Frank of Tamaqua,
Judy (Wetterau) Angelus of Allentown;

One Son,
Gary P. Wetterau and his wife Donna of Tamaqua;

Seven grandchildren
Fourteen great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Leona Jones, Mrs. Mary Exner; brothers, Harry, and Allen Wallesa

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.

Memorial Service Friday December 28, 2012 at 11 o'clock A.M. from Trinity U.C.C. 22 Lafayette Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252, Rev. Thomas H. Reinsel to officiate.

Friends may call at church from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
