Helen Linda Swenson

Mrs. Helen L. (Yemm) Swenson, age 79, of Patterson Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale.

A homemaker, Helen was a member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Franklin, and Mary Alice (Kantner) Yemm

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernest F. Swenson;

One Daughter,
Alice (Swenson) Fennell wife of Tim of Allentown;

One Son,
Robert E. Swenson of Tamaqua;

One Sister,
Eleanor (Yemm) Behr wife of Earl of Tamaqua;

Two grandchildren, Ryan, and Casey;

Preceded in death by a brother, Paul Yemm.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2011.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 10, 2011, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua.
