Helen Pergosky, 95 years of age of Plain Street, Weatherly, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Weatherwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
Born Monday, August 22, 1921 in Stockton, the daughter of the late Paul, and Anna (Bogansky) Homanko she was also predeceased by; husband, Theodore E. Pergosky; sister, Mrs. Margaret Sauers; brothers, Michael, and Edward Homanko.
A member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly, Helen had worked for Duplan Silk Mill's of Beaver Meadows, and Wright Knit Wear of Hazleton.
Survived by her caregiver and nephew, Brian Sauers and his wife Loretta of Drums; nephews, Mr. Michael Homanko of Hazleton, Mr. Joseph Homanko of Beaver Meadows; nieces, Mary Ann Homanko of Beaver Meadows, Bernice Homanko of Philadelphia, Mrs. Doris Beishline of Hazleton; many great, and great-great nephews and nieces also survive her.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 211 First Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. (570) 427-4231
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10 o'clock AM from Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. located at 318 Plane Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255. Friends shall be received in church from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in St. Nicholas R.C.C. Cemetery of Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
