Helen Jadush-Hornack

Our Lord’s choir of angels welcomed our mom, Helen ( Crofcheck) Jadush- Hornack into eternal life today, June 21, 2018 after a short illness. The daughter of Clement and Anna (Barna) Crofcheck, mom was born in Freeland in April of 1934, recently celebrating her 84th birthday. Today, 39 years ago, she married our stepfather, “Pop” Robert J Hornack, and enjoyed their life together in Hartland Park, Hazleton.
Upon graduation from St Ann’s High School, mom joined and was proud to serve in the U.S. Army as a Medical Technician, later marrying and raising us six children in Freeland. She considered us to be her greatest gift in life, always there for us, no matter what.
A parishioner of St. John Bosco R.C.C. in Sugarloaf and the former St Francis of Assisi, Hazleton mom’s Catholic religion was close to her heart, always the first to forgive and see the good in everyone. A huge heart, full of love, yet always room to add a little more. She enjoyed reading and tending to her garden especially her gorgeous red azalea.
Mom is predeceased by her brothers Clem, George, Peter, John, Michael and Steven Crofcheck; sisters Anna Smith and Mary Walters, her stepson David Hornack, grandsons Dakota & Philip III Jadush, and our dad, Philip J Jadush.
Remembering mom with love will be her daughters Debbie Kessell and husband Jim and Josette Tiglio; sons Philip Jr and companion Faye Schafer, Mark and his wife Donna, Robert and his wife Becket, Alan and his wife Tara; 27 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren, her sister Martha Mitchell of Virginia Beach, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 10 o'clock A.M. from Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane Street Weatherly, Pennsylvania 18255.
Military honors will be bestowed after the Mass of Christian Burial.
Friends may call on Monday evening June 25, 2018 at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Prayer Services to be conducted at 6:30 P.M.
No morning calling.
Private interment.
