Mrs. Helen I. (Gerhard) Doleiden age 87, of Middlesex NJ., formerly of Weatherly, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, October 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Franklin H Doleiden. They were married 44 years before he died in 1996.Born in Hudsondale, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Smith) Gerhard. She was the youngest of 11 siblings and the last surviving.Helen was a member of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and sang in the church choir.She is survived by 3 daughters, Cindy Doleiden of Middlesex, NJ, Lori Doleiden of Branchburg, NJ and Lisa (Doleiden) Judd, wife of John P. Judd of Somerville, NJ. She is also survived by her “PRECIOUS GRANDAUGHTERS” Cheyanne and Alyssa Judd of Somerville, NJ. They were the apple of her eye. She always claims that they could never do anything wrong. They are perfect.Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews and they always refer to her as “Aunt Honey”.She graduated with a Business Degree and began working for Bell Labs until the birth of her first born. She went back to work when her last daughter was in 3rd grade. She worked in Accounts Payable Group at Egans Machinery in Bridgewater, NJ for 24 years.Helen was known for her gardening, baking, cooking and she loved doing cross word puzzles.Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., 18255. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Ave, Plainfield, NJ 07063. A funeral service will be held on Thursday November 1, 2018 at noon from the fuenral home. Friends shall be received from 11:00 A.M. until time of services.
