Mrs. Helen B. (Boyle) Baer, age 83, of High Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home in Lehighton, Pa.
A member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Helen was a 1945 Tamaqua High School graduate.
Having worked at the former Keilman's Shoe Store of Tamaqua, Helen retired from the Tamaqua School District in 1990 after working 19 years in the Jr. High School cafeteria.
Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Brill) Boyle.
She is survived by her

Karen L. (Baer) Zahradnik wife of Robert of Durango, Colo.;
One Son,
William R. Baer, Jr. and his wife Carlene of Oxford, Pa.;
One Sister,
Betty (Boyle) Seavy of State College, Pa.;
One Brother,
John J. "Jack" Boyle of Holland, Pa.;
Three grandchildren, William III, Robert, and Laura;
Two great-grandchildren, William, and Adilyn;
Preceded in death by her husband, William R. Baer, Sr., who died June 30, 2008; brothers, Jospeh Boyle who died in 1956, and Wiliam Boyle who died in 2008; sister, Mrs. Margaret Price, who died in 2004.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2011.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy officiating.
Interment will be at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua, Pa.
