Harry W. Heffelfinger, 64, of Tamaqua passed away Friday at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Coaldale December 28, 1949 he was a son of the late Edward J. Heffelfinger Sr. and Mary M. (Wagner) Heffelfinger.

He was a graduate of Tamaqua High School.

Harry was the Owner/Operator of Harry’s Amoco in the 70’s-80’s and a mechanic at JE Morgan Knitting Mills, before retiring from Kraft Foods.

He was a member of the Parish of Saint John XXXII, Tamaqua; a longtime member and former chief engineer of Citizen’s Fire Co., Tamaqua, West Penn Rod and Gun Club and Tamaqua Senior Citizens. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and tinkering around his garage. He sponsored and played softball on Harry’s Amoco team.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Madeleine A. (Fillion) Heffelfinger;

Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA with Rev. John Frink officiating. A gathering of friends will be held Wednesday 6:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 9:00-10:00am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Citizen’s Fire Co. 99 W. Rowe St. Tamaqua, PA 18252 Tamaqua, PA 18252. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery. Online Registry and Condolences may be signed at www.griffithsfuneralhomes.com
