Harold A. Hosler, age 76, of Newkirk, Tamaqua, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in , Tamaqua.
A 1953 Tamaqua High School graduate, Harold matriculated to Stephens Trade School of Lancaster graduating in 1956. He then served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1958 to 1964.
Harold, worked as a carpenter for the former Joseph Boyle Builders of Tamaqua, and American Homes of Hometown.
A member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua, Harold, was an active member of the Rabbit Run Fish & Game Assoc., Carbon Beagle Club, Tamaqua Community Ambulance Assoc., Tuscarora Fire Co., and South Ward Fire Company, West Penn Rod & Gun Club, North American Hunting Club, and North American Fishing Club.
Born in NewKirk, he was the son of the late Paul Winkle and the late Sarah Hosler.
He is survived by his
One Son,
Bryan R. Hosler with whom he resided;
Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn L. (Larzelere) Hosler on July 10, 1998; son, Harold W. Hosler on June 2, 2007.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2011.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2011., Pastor Phyllis Wolford officiating.
Interment will be at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua.
