Harold T Bachert, age 90, of E Front St.,Lansford, formerly of Tamaqua, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Gnaden Huetten Hospital Blue Mt. Health Care Systems in Lehighton.
He had worked for Reading Railroad and Conrail as a car inspector.
Harold was Lutheran by faith.
He was a Tamaqua Area High School graduate.
Harold was a member of the South Ward Fire Co., Tamaqua Fire Police, Six County Fireman's Association and the Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, Lehighton.
Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late Russell Bachert and the late Florence M. (Wimmer) Bachert.
He is survived by his
Sister,
Althea Bachert with whom he resided.
Preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wimmer; sisters, Dorothy Ackerman and Arlene Bachert; nephew, Kevin T. Zellner on 6/4/2011.
Arrangements are entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home &
Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
Interment will be at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
