H Florence "Toots" (Lutz) Labyak, age 93, of Golf Rd., Tamaqua, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home in Lehighton..
She was the widow of Joseph A. Labyak who passed on April 18, 2012.
She was a member of St. Jerome R.C.C., Tamaqua.
She had worked for Bell Telephone for 45 years.
Florence was a 1939 Tamaqua High School graduate and she enjoyed gardening, the beach and she was an avid Eagles fan.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Lutz and the late Ida Mae (Burton) Lutz.
She is survived by her
Sister,
Helen Bartel of Temple, Pa.;
Nieces,
Rosemary L. Farber of Macungie;
Nancy M. Willing and Helene Smith- Marx both of Tamaqua.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Herman F. Lutz and Matthew L. Lutz; sisters, Jean Starr, Mary Lutz and Dolly Yost.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 8:30-9:30 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 10 o'clock AM at St. Jerome R.C.C. 266 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, PA 18252.
Interment at St. Jerome R.C.C.C., Tamaqua.
