Gordon E. Miller, age 80, of Buck Mt. Rd., Weatherly, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Catherine M. (Kropp) Miller.
Gordon was an army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Weatherly.
He had been employed by Fabrical of New Jersey.
Gordon was a woodworker, a fisherman and a can collector and a member of the L&L Fire Co.
Born in Rockport, he was the son of the late Elmer Miller and the late Jessie (Treon) Miller.
He is also survived by his
Four Sons,
Thomas G Miller and his wife Kim, Jeffery M Miller and his wife Bobbi Lee, and Brian J Miller and his wife Leann all of Weatherly and
Dennis M Miller and his wife Sandra of New Market, TN;
Sister,
Betty Boganisky of Flemington, NJ;
Seven Grandchildren
Two Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his brother, William Weiss; Sister, Doris Polivka.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 4-7 PM.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 7 o'clock PM at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, Reverend Dawn Richie to officiate.
Interment with Military Honors on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10 o'clock AM at St. Nicholas R.C.C.C., Weatherly, Pa.
