Mr. George M. Schlorf, age 53, of N. Lehigh Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at home, in Tamaqua, Pa.
A 1975 Tamaqua High School graduate, George earned a welders certificate, and had worked for the former L.C.&N. for many years. George last worked for ASH Resources of Schuylkill Haven.
And avid dirt biker, he belonged to the A.M.A.. George, loved the outdoors, especially fishing.
Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Charles "Stix" and Mary (Knies) Schlorf.
He is survived by his

Charles G. Schlorf, and his wife Julie Brobst of Lovettsville, Va.
Derek R. Schlorf of Tamaqua;
One Sister,
Mrs. Joanne (Schlorf) Snyder wife of Randy of Tamaqua;
Three Brothers,
Mr. Gus C. Schlorf and his wife Penny,
Mr. Robert T. Schlorf and his wife Elna,
Mr. Thomas R. Schlorf and his wife Lori, all of Tamaqua;
Companion, Rose Jean Zucuskie.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
Private graveside services will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, Pa.
