Mr. George W. Powell, age 92, of Tuscarora, Pa., died Thursday, October 11, 2007, in his home surrounded by the family he loved and adored.
A high school graduate,George attended the Wharton School of Finance. His entrepreneurial spirit lead him to many endeavors. He built a Ford Dealership on the Hometown Hill in Tamaqua, running it from 1952 to 1958. George was a Commercial Real Estate developer in South Jersey, he owned for over 30 years Fiedelty Machine and Tool Co. in Cherry Hill, NJ., and presently owns N.C.P.S., fabricating molds for glass bottles in Cherry Hill, NJ.
George served on the Board of Directors of People National Bank of New Jersey. He holds a Private Pilots License, and is and avid Sport Fisherman, fishing from his boat in Punta Gorda, FL.
Having served in WWII, he belongs to St. Bertha's R.C.C. of Tuscarora, Pa., served as Past Potentate of Crescent Temple, Trenton, NJ., and is an Imperial Potentate of the Shrine of North America, A.A.O.N.M. S.
Born in Gloucester, NJ., he was the son of the late John T. Powell and the late Laura (Cobb) Powell.
Survived by his wife Mrs. Joan (Coleman) Powell;
One Daughter,
Mrs. Renee P. (Powell) Johnson of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Son-in-Law M.Scott Johnson of Potomac, MD.
One Son,
Mr. George W. Powell, Jr. and his wife Diane of Naples, Fl.
Grandchildren, Michael Powell, Merritt Johnson and Laura Johnson

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Bertha's R.C.C. at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2007.
Interment will be at St. Bertha's R.C.C. Cemtery.
