George F. Minnick, 79, of Weatherly passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at Wilkes Barre General Hospital.
Born December 17, 1935, he was a son of the late Roy W. Minnick and Ruth (Reed) Minnick Clark.
He was a Graduate of Weatherly High School and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
George worked most of his life at the Weatherly Foundry, leaving as a supervisor. He also worked at Dorr-Oliver and Mengle’s.
He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, where he was active in consistory, serving as a deacon and elder.
In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by sisters Audrey Hill, Ruth Frye, Phoebe Fairchild, Mildred Horn, Betty Meogrossi, Virginia Dubesky; Brother Leroy Minnick; Step Father Joshua Clark.
He is survived by his wife of 59 Years Lucy Carter Minnick.

A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 21, 2015 from Salem United Church of Christ, First & Fell Sts. Weatherly, with the Rev. Stump officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
