Mr. George J. Miller, age 81, of Van Gelder St., Tamaqua, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a member of Bethany E.C.C. of Tamaqua.

George was a Korean War Army Veteran.

He was a truck driver.

Born in Summit Hill, he was the son of the late George Raymond Miller and the late Jennie (Middlecamp) Miller.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley I. (Moyer) Miller;

Three Daughters,
Georgette (Miller) Nelson and her husband Alan of Roseto, Pa.,
Lesa L Miller and her partner Traci Oxenford of Marietta, Pa., and Tabitha A (Miller) Jones and her husband Ryan of Lancaster

Four Sons,
Calvin C Miller and his wife Melissa of Tamaqua, Lawrence E Miller and his companion Tionie Rothermel of Sunbury, Andrew J Miller and his wife Margaret of Tamaqua, and Kevin L Miller of Bloomsburg

Three Sisters,
Edith Fritzinger of Andreas, Gladys Wehr and her husband Orville of Andreas, and Beatrice Yates of Tamaqua

One Brother, Thomas A Miller of Tamaqua

Thirteen grandchildren
Four great-grandchildren

Daughter-in-law, Maryann Miller of New Philadelphia.

Preceded in death by his son, Clarence "Chick" G. Miller in 2005; daughter, Georgine A. Miller in 1956; brothers, Lester A., Murland, and Raymond; sisters, Joyce Peters, Arlene Huntz and Madaline Zellner.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 6-8 PM and Friday, July 1, 2011 from 9:30-11:00 AM.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Reverend Kevin Roberts officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will be at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pa.

Memorials in his honor may be sent to Bethany E.C.C. 223 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa 18252 or to Disabled American Veterans 305 E. Diamond Ave., American Legion, Hazleton, Pa 18201.
