Mr. George Albert Kistler, age 86, of Mush Dahl Road New Ringgold, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Tamaqua.
A 1942 Tamaqua High School graduate, George retired from the Former Atlas Powder Company after 30 years, having worked as a carpenter. George learned his carpentry skills while working for Tom Hoppes Builder's of Tamaqua
Born in West Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Percy A. and Carolina (Hoppes) Kistler.
He is survived by his
One Daughter,
Diane (Kistler) wife of Dennis Boyle of Tamaqua;
One Son,
Gary Lamar Kistler of Halifax;
Two grandchildren, Amy Androshick, and Dennis M. Boyle;
Two great-grandchildren, Jonathan, and Rebekah Androshick;
Preceded in death by his wife Mary M. (Musselman) Kistler on Nov. 16, 2003; brother, Charles Kistler.
